Τι εξοπλισμό ασφαλείας χρειάζομαι στο ξενοδοχείο μου;

Στον κλάδο της φιλοξενίας, η ασφάλεια έχει εξέχουσα σημασία. Η ξενοδοχειακή βιομηχανία πρέπει να συμμορφώνεται σε ορισμένους κανόνες υγιεινής και ασφάλειας. Όμως αυτό που διακρίνει ένα εξαιρετικό κατάλυμα από ένα μέτριο, είναι η αληθινή φροντίδα για την άνεση και την ασφάλεια τόσο των επισκεπτών όσο και των εργαζομένων.

Ο καλύτερος τρόπος να αποτρέψουμε ατυχήματα και ζημιές είναι η έγκαιρη και σωστή προετοιμασία, και η εγκατάσταση του σωστού εξοπλισμού. Συνοπτικά, ο εξοπλισμός αυτός περιγράφεται παρακάτω.

Ανιχνευτές καπνού

Πρόκειται για βασικό εξοπλισμό, που αποδεικνύεται χρήσιμος τόσο προληπτικά όσο και σε περίπτωση ανάγκης. Πρέπει να τοποθετούνται σε διαδρόμους, σκάλες, δωμάτια και κοινόχρηστους χώρους. Με καλή και τακτική συντήρηση, οι ανιχνευτές έχουν μεγάλη διάρκεια ζωής και μας προειδοποιούν έγκαιρα για την ύπαρξη καπνού σε οποιονδήποτε χώρο, έτσι ώστε να μπορούμε να παρέμβουμε έγκαιρα εάν κάτι προκύψει. 

Ανάλογα με το μέγεθος της μονάδας, προτείνεται και ο κατάλληλος εξοπλισμός.

Πυροσβεστήρες

Υπάρχει λόγος που κάθε χώρος, ακόμα και κάθε σπίτι, διαθέτει πυροσβεστήρα. Είναι ένα εύχρηστο εργαλείο που μπορεί να σβήσει εντελώς μια μικρή φωτιά ή να την καθυστερήσει δίνοντας πολύτιμο χρόνο για μεγαλύτερες ενέργειες. Όταν, δε, πρόκειται για ξενοδοχειακό χώρο, η σημασία του είναι ακόμα μεγαλύτερη.

Η εγκατάστασή τους γίνεται ανάλογα με το μέγεθος και τον τύπο τους, υπάρχουν τέσσερεις τύποι πυροσβεστήρων. Η κλάση Α αναφέρεται σε όλα τα συνήθη καύσιμα, η κλάση Β στα εύφλεκτα υγρά, η κλάση C σε ηλεκτρικό εξοπλισμό και η κλάση Κ σε μαγειρικά έλαια και λίπη.

Έχετε αναρωτηθεί ποτέ γιατί οι πυροσβεστήρες τοποθετούνται σε γωνίες ή κρέμονται στον τοίχο; Αυτό γίνεται για να μην τοποθετούνται επάνω τους άλλα αντικείμενα που θα καταστήσουν δύσκολη την πρόσβαση σε αυτούς σε περίπτωση κινδύνου.

Πρέπει να αναφέρουμε ότι οι πυροσβεστήρες είναι χρήσιμοι ακόμη και αν υπάρχει πλήρες σύστημα ψεκασμού στη μονάδα. Οι πυροσβεστήρες μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν ανά πάσα περίπτωση ενώ το σύστημα ψεκασμού (sprinkler) ενεργοποιούνται όταν εκπέμπεται πολλή θερμότητα και επομένως όταν η πυρκαγιά έχει εξαπλωθεί αρκετά. Η εκπαίδευση του προσωπικού στη χρήση τους κρίνεται απαραίτητη, αφού με λίγη εξοικείωση μπορούν να συνεισφέρουν σημαντικά σε περίπτωση ανάγκης.

Συστήματα ψεκασμού

 Τα συστήματα ψεκασμού είναι πλέον υποχρεωτικά για τα πολυώροφα κτίρια, αφού μπορούν να κατασβέσουν ή έστω να περιορίσουν μια πυρκαγιά πριν εξαπλωθεί. Ενεργοποιούνται αυτόματα με τη θερμότητα και ψεκάζουν νερό από ψηλά, δρώντας αποτελεσματικά στο χώρο που βρίσκονται. 

Ανιχνευτές μονοξειδίου του άνθρακα

Το μονοξείδιο του άνθρακα είναι το πιο επικίνδυνο αέριο που εκλύεται όταν γίνεται μια καύση. Οι ιδιότητές του είναι τέτοιες που το καθιστούν δύσκολα ανιχνεύσιμο: είναι άοσμο και αόρατο. Παρόλα αυτά, προκαλεί ακόμα και θάνατο. Επομένως, οι ανιχνευτές πρέπει να τοποθετούνται σε κάθε μονάδα ανεξαρτήτως μεγέθους και να συντηρούνται έτσι ώστε να διασφαλίζεται η καλή λειτουργία τους. 

Με όλα όσα προαναφέραμε και βέβαια την καλή τους συντήρηση και την εκπαίδευση του προσωπικού σε αυτά, ο χώρος μας είναι ασφαλής. Παρόλο που οι πυρκαγιές σε ξενοδοχειακές μονάδες είναι αρκετά σπάνιο φαινόμενο, είναι ένας κίνδυνος που δεν πρέπει να παραβλέπουμε· πρέπει να είμαστε καλά προετοιμασμένοι και σε επιφυλακή ώστε σε περίπτωση που συμβεί ένα ατυχές γεγονός να αντιμετωπιστεί άμεσα και σωστά.
